Malarkey Roofing Products
Our guiding principle is simple - make the shingles we want on our own homes. Founded in 1956, Malarkey Roofing Products is a US manufacturer of residential and commercial roofing products, with production facilities in Oregon, California, Oklahoma, and Maryland.
A little more thought, a little more effort, a little more care. If there’s a better, more sustainable way to make a shingle, we intend to find it.
Malarkey Pioneered Rubberized Asphalt Shingles. Combining high-grade asphalt with virgin rubber polymers, and recycled rubber and plastic polymers, our proprietary NEX® Polymer Modified (Rubberized) Asphalt technology chemically strengthens and rubberizes the asphalt core of the shingle for superior all-weather resilience and longer product life, all while reducing landfill waste.
By incorporating upcycled rubber and plastics into our NEX® asphalt formulation, each average-sized roof of Malarkey shingles (approximately 30 squares) diverts the equivalent of ~5 tires and ~3,200 plastic bags from the landfill.
All Malarkey Shingles Include 3M™ Smog-Reducing Granules, Time Magazine’s Top 50 Inventions of 2018. Air quality is a concern for us all, which is why Malarkey created the industry’s first smog-reducing shingle, using 3M™ Smog-Reducing Granules.
Designed with a photocatalytic coating, and blending inconspicuously into the shingle’s color, these innovative granules harness sunlight to actively clean the air of emission pollutants. Each Malarkey roof has the smog-fighting potential of ~2 trees.
